Thermal performance improvement of shell and helical coil heat exchanger

Nowadays, energy consumption increases so it is necessary to enhance the efficiency and performance of heat transition. The effects perforated twisted tape on transfer coefficient, effectiveness, Nusselt number, pressure drop are studied numerically. Modeling exchanger with applied where finite volume method utilized perform setup complete solution. numerical results validated previous experimental there an excessive agreement between results. range Reynolds numbers from 3800 18000. showed that overall coefficient U rise number achieves maximum enhancement achieving 965 1250 W/m2K. has highest ratio enhancing following 65 115 this can be explained as velocity rises, turbulence level increases. Heat effectiveness growth attained supreme reaching 0.35 0.85. It indicated configuration increase complicity drop. Contours streamlines hot cold water cross explains distributions temperature, velocity, pressure.
